Last Saturday (4/18), we successfully wrapped up the highly anticipated "Gaomei Wetlands Interdisciplinary Worksheet Application Workshop"! This training session was not just a fantastic continuation of the supplementary materials published by the Taiwan Mandarin Educational Resources Center (LMIT) , but also a major milestone in pushing Mandarin teaching towards "local immersive experiences" and breaking beyond the traditional frameworks of cultural education!
During the morning indoor session, we started from our initial inspirations and fully deconstructed the design context of the "#WetlandExplorer" worksheet series. Seeing how language points across different proficiency levels so seamlessly integrate with natural ecology truly reinforced our belief that "experiential learning" can absolutely inject a brand-new vitality into the classroom.
For the afternoon's main event, we hopped on a bus and headed straight to the Gaomei Wetlands for the "Coast Hi! Seaside Stroll #GaomeiWalkingTourProject," led by the "Inside Taiwan" team. This enriching field trip was like a "knowledge booster shot", allowing us to deeply understand that "space is not merely natural, but the result of construction."
This workshop successfully extended language training from the classroom into the real natural environment, allowing Mandarin learning to truly take root in authentic local culture and landscapes!
